Microsoft terminate 200 additional workers and gives them 60 days to find another job

Why is Microsoft shutting down its operations in Pakistan after 25 Years?

According to reports, 200 additional members of Microsoft’s staff responsible for regaining customers would be let go.

The IT firm is requesting that some of its employees accept severance money or look for another position inside the organization. Remember that Microsoft recently laid off 1800 workers as part of a restructuring process, although the business promised at the time that it will hire additional staff soon.

According to the report, the Modern Life Experiences team had received “bad news” this week. Noted that the corporation has not provided any formal information on the matter.

The corporation gave these employees 60 days to find another job there or accept severance pay. According to the story, “around 200 members of the Modern Life Experiences team have been ordered to either find another employment at the company within 60 days, or take severance.”

As part of its structural modifications, Microsoft fired 1800 workers last month from various countries. “Today, there were only a few role eliminations. Like all businesses, we regularly assess our business goals and make structural changes as necessary”, Microsoft stated in a statement.

It should be noted that the layoffs represent less than 1% of Microsoft’s approximately 1.8 lakh personnel headcount.

After its fiscal year ended on June 30, the corporation announced that it had made some employment cuts and restructured business groupings and positions. The software giant claimed that the global job layoffs affected a variety of groups, including consulting, customer, and partner solutions.

Microsoft declared that it would keep on adding staff and end the current fiscal year with a higher headcount. The corporation made it clear that, in spite of the layoffs, it intends to invest in our company and increase headcount overall in the upcoming year.

In addition, businesses like TikTok, Twitter, Netflix, and many more have fired hundreds of workers as a result of cost-cutting efforts in response to the economy’s slowdown. Some tech companies, including Google and others, postponed hiring for the same reason.
