Govt should place Chairman NAB’s name on ECL, says Ahsan Iqbal

According to the Daily Times, PML-N Secretary-General and former Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal requested the government to place the names of the Chairman and Director General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the Exit Control List (ECL).

In Islamabad, Ahsan Iqbal was speaking with a journalist. “While dacoits and thieves were on the loose in Pakistan, Nero fiddled,” he remarked.

He went on to say that the status of the economy was in disarray because no officers wanted to make judgments on their own and that no investment was pouring in.

According to Ahsan, the PML-N government took out billions of dollars in debts while in power, as well as launching massive electricity projects.

“Imran Khan’s government borrowed incredible loans that will be difficult to repay for the next government,” he continued.

He stated that his government will take those responsible for the massive debt accountable. “The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), as well as economic issues, are in shambles,” he added, noting that “no single project has been launched in the last three years of the existing PTI government.”

Despite the fact that Gwadar is the CPEC’s gateway, Ahsan Iqbal claimed that the present government purposefully caused unrest in the city.

“The employment of Gwadar’s people should be preserved under the CPEC,” he continued, “but the Imran Niazi government did not do so.”
