Imran Khan’s political adviser has been kidnapped in Lahore.
Ghulam Shabbir, the political adviser to imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has reportedly been abducted by unidentified men in Lahore, Punjab’s capital.
Shabbir, who is the elder brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill, disappeared two days ago while en route to Islamabad.
The First Information Report (FIR), filed by his son Bilal at the Kahna police station, details that Shabbir had left his residence in Lahore’s Khayaban-e-Amin late at night, bound for Islamabad.

As of now, no further information has been disclosed.
Imran Khan has been behind bars since August of last year, following his conviction in several of the nearly 200 cases lodged against him after his ouster in April 2022.
In May 2022, Khan, a former cricketer turned politician, launched a significant march from Lahore to Islamabad.

This move aimed to unseat the coalition government of Shehbaz Sharif, which had come into power following Khan’s removal through a vote of no confidence.
