Islamabad, May 17, 2024 — Chinese MCC Tongsin Resources eyes major investment in Pakistan’s Mining Sector.

In a significant move to bolster Pakistan’s mining and export sectors, a high-level delegation from MCC Tongsin Resources, a prominent Chinese firm, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Led by Chairman Wang Jaichen, the delegation expressed keen interest in expanding their investments in Pakistan.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif assured the delegation of his government’s full support, highlighting a comprehensive approach that includes facilitation in minerals exploration, processing, and export.

He directed relevant federal ministers and officials to engage in continuous consultations with MCC Tongsin Resources, ensuring collaboration with the Balochistan chief minister, provincial departments, and other stakeholders.

“The government is committed to creating a conducive environment for foreign investments,” Prime Minister Sharif stated.

“We welcome MCC Tongsin Resources and are ready to provide all necessary support to make their projects successful.”

Chairman Wang Jaichen and his team conveyed their confidence in Prime Minister Sharif’s leadership.

They outlined their ambitious plans, including the construction of a state-of-the-art mineral park in Pakistan and further investments in the mining sector.

The delegation’s briefing highlighted their commitment to contributing to Pakistan’s economic growth and development.

The prime minister emphasized the strategic importance of foreign investment for Pakistan’s economic future, noting, “Our priority is to facilitate international investors who are eager to contribute to our country’s progress. MCC Tongsin Resources’ initiatives align perfectly with our vision for economic expansion and job creation.”
