PTI rejects Rana Sanaullah’s ‘grand dialogue’ offer.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declined an offer for grand dialogue extended by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah.
PTI spokesperson Rauf Hassan reiterated the party’s stance, emphasizing that talks will only be entertained with what they perceive as the “real powers” in the political landscape.
PTI’s Firm Stance on Dialogue:
During an episode of ARY News program ‘Sawaal Hai,’ Rauf Hassan dismissed the viability of engaging in dialogue with representatives like Rana Sanaullah and Shehbaz Sharif, labeling them as “dummies” lacking substantive influence.

Hassan stressed that PTI is keen on direct dialogue with entities possessing significant political clout.
“They [real powers] are politically ‘covering’ the dialogue, PTI wants to hold dialogue directly as they have no alternative,” Rauf Hassan said.
Engagement with Maulana Fazlur Rehman:
While PTI rebuffed dialogue offers from PML-N, they disclosed ongoing negotiations with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, indicating a strategic approach towards building alliances within the opposition.
“There is hope that he [Fazlur Rehman] will support PTI in opposition movement,” Hassan said.
Hassan expressed optimism regarding diminishing trust deficits and hinted at potential support from Fazlur Rehman’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) in opposition movements.
Role of Arif Alvi:
Highlighting the role of Arif Alvi, PTI’s spokesperson mentioned his assignment as an ‘ambassador-at-large,’ tasked with engaging influential circles in line with the party’s directives.
“Arif Alvi is an ‘ambassador-at-large’ for PTI, following the PTI founder directives,” Hassan stated.
PTI Founder’s Release:
Amidst discussions on political engagements, Hassan asserted the imminent release of PTI’s founder, suggesting a timeline of months if not weeks.
Moreover, PTI expressed dissatisfaction with assurances from former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, highlighting a perceived contrast between verbal promises and actual outcomes.
Despite assurances of no movement from Bajwa, PTI believes their desired outcomes have materialized
