The felicitations were conveyed during a telephonic conversation with Pakistani counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani, marking a significant moment of diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring nations.

During the conversation, both diplomats underscored the importance of bilateral security agreements recently established between Islamabad and Tehran. Emphasis was placed on leveraging these agreements to bolster joint efforts in combating terrorism, a pressing issue for both countries.

Beyond security matters, the dialogue touched upon broader aspects of mutual relations and ongoing regional developments, reflecting the depth of engagement between Iran and Pakistan.

In response, Foreign Minister Jilani expressed gratitude for Iran’s proposal to convene an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers.

This meeting aims to address the escalating situation in Gaza and the West Bank, condemning Israel’s aggressive actions against the Palestinian population.
