Among the prominent contenders vying for victory in NA-117 are Abdul Aleem Khan, President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Ali Ijaz, who enjoys the backing of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Syed Asif Akhter Hashmi representing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Saif Ur Rehman from Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), and Jahangir Ahmad, the candidate for Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), alongside other participants.
Spanning across Lahore’s City Tehsil, the NA-117 Lahore-I constituency, previously designated as NA-123 Lahore-I, encompasses Charge No 3 to 14 and 34 within the Lahore District.

Reflecting on the previous general elections held in 2018, Muhammad Malik Riaz of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) clinched victory with a significant margin, securing 97,193 votes. Meher Wajid Azeem from PTI trailed behind in second place with 72,535 votes.
Presently, the constituency boasts a population of 902,499 individuals, with a substantial electorate comprising 520,453 registered voters. Among these, 282,202 are male voters, while 238,251 are female, underlining the significant gender dynamics at play in the electoral landscape.
Abdul Aleem Khan is a Pakistani politician and businessman from Lahore. Abdul Aleem Khan owns Samaa TV and Vision Group. He was also the Senior Minister of Punjab and Minister of Food from 2020 to 2021.
He also served as a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 to 2021.
