Sheikh Rashid hospitalised after chest pain. Sheikh Rashid, the former interior minister and leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), was transferred to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) after complaining of chest pain.

Rashid reportedly had a physical in the hospital’s emergency room, per media reports.

As Sheikh Rashid hospitalised after chest pain, according to hospital sources, Rashid will be kept under observation for a while, and the cause of the chest pain won’t be determined until the test results are out.

Rashid, who had been missing since his September arrest, reemerged last week on television and denounced the events of May 9.

On the other hand, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the Muslim League (AML), said on Friday that May 9 was the saddest day in Pakistan’s history and should be denounced harshly.

Sheikh Rashid told the host of a Samaa TV show that he wants general amnesty for everyone involved in the May 9 incident.

He stated that the Pakistan Army and General Asim Munir should pardon all regular individuals for their actions on May 9, but that the architects of the May 9 riots should be dealt with under army law.

In response to an inquiry regarding his sudden disappearance, Sheikh Rashid stated that he had gone on a holy journey and was unable to notify his family members before leaving.

He stated that he supports the Pakistan Army and always has backed the army. He claimed that Pakistan was too weak to progress without the backing of institutions.

In response to a query about the PTI leaders responsible for the May 9 violence, Sheikh Rashid stated that people like Shahbaz Gill, Hammad Azhar, Shireen Mazari, and Zulfi Bukhari laid the groundwork for a conflict with the army.

He stated that a confrontation with the military personnel was pointless.

Sheikh Rashid said it was a mistake for Khan and his allies to start a fight with Gen Asim in response to the question of why PTI Chairman Imran Khan launched an assault on General Asim Munir.
