Why did Nawaz Sharif landed in Islamabad instead of Lahore?
According to information obtained, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had to travel to Islamabad in order to complete some legal requirements.
The PML-N leader was given protective bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in two graft cases until October 24.
Nawaz will sign the court documents and consult with his legal team, which includes Amjad Parvez and former law minister Azam Nazeer Tarar.
Another trusted assistant of the PML-N leader, Barrister Zafarullah Khan, has also arrived at the airport.
“An oath commissioner will also be present for Nawaz Sharif’s biometric verification,” a source privy to the matter shared.

Nawaz Sharif will fly to Lahore after completing the necessary paperwork to give a speech at a rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan.
Following the arrival of more than 160 members of his party and media organisations on a chartered plane in Islamabad, the 73-year-old veteran politician will address the gathering in his hometown.
Since departing for London in 2019 to receive medical attention while serving a seven-year prison sentence for corruption, Nawaz Sharif had not set foot in Pakistan.
The IHC on Thursday prohibited arresting him until Tuesday, when he is scheduled to appear in court, despite the fact that his convictions are still in place.
Due to his convictions, he is unable to run for office or hold another election, but according to his legal team and his party, he hopes to become prime minister for a fourth time.
