Asif Ali Zardari, a former president and co-chairman of the PPP, stated on Tuesday that the bravery and sacrifices made by the party’s “martyrs” was matchless.
BB and thousands of other PPP martyrs made sacrifices for the country’s democracy, he said in a statement on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the twin suicide assaults on the homecoming rally of the late prime minister at Karsaz, Karachi, on October 18, 2022.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP chairman, and foreign minister, also paid eloquent tribute to the PPP employees who perished in the terrorist attack on that fateful day in his message.
He assured that the PPP would keep fighting for greater democracy in the nation.
When two suicide bombers detonated themselves at Karsaz, Karachi, when BB’s caravan was passing through the neighborhood, about 150 people—mostly PPP workers and a few media personnel—lost their lives, and almost 400 more were hurt.
