Maulana Fazl visited the flood affected areas in D I Khan
The chief of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Maulana Fazlur Rahman said the flood affectees must be evacuated to the safer places as soon as possible and instructed the relevant departments to speed up the relief operations as he visited the flood affected areas of Dera Ismail Khan, here on Saturday.
Maulana Fazl ur Rahman visited the flood affected area Yarik, Muqeem Shah, areas of Pusha Bridge and other areas of D I Khan District.
Talking to the mediapersons on this occasion, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said, flash floods and hill torrents caused by torrential rains are sudden calamities, the whole nation should turn to Allah and seek forgiveness, keeping aside all differences in this hour of difficulty, our goal should be immediate relief and rehabilitation of the victims.
Mr. Fazl said the provincial and central governments should cooperate with each other and should utilize all resources and government machinery for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims.
Maulana also directed the party workers to provide all possible relief to the victims at the local level in accordance to their resources.
Similarly, Maulana Maulana Fazlur Rahman also directed all the concerned authorities to speed up the rescue operations and to evacuate the people surrounded by flood safely as soon as possible.
Maulana Fazl ur Rahman was accompanied by the Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Maulana Asad Mehmood, Engineer Zia ur Rahman, the officials of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and National Highway Authority (NHA) on his visit.
Meanwhile, Deputy Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Ahmed Karim Khan Kundi is also practically engaged in relief activities in Budh village, the most affected area by floods.
He practically participated in the activities of assisting the victims and shifting them to safe places and met the victims in the affected areas to comfort them.
