Imran Khan to Raise Flood Donations tomorrow
Former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan will attend a telethon to raise funds for flood victims in Pakistan, ARY NEWS reported.
The announcement was made by party secretary-general Asad Umar via his Twitter account, which said details of the telethon would be announced at a later date.
The announcement comes under pressure to start a fundraiser for victims a day after the former prime minister visited a flood relief camp in D I Khan, but he is unsure how the money will be spent. As long as he said he didn’t intend to do so.
Earlier in the day, Punjab Prime Minister Parvez Elahi called senior PTI leaders and persuaded party leader Imran Khan to announce a fundraising campaign for flood victims.
Parvez Elahi called Asad Umar and Shibli Faraz and urged them to ask Imran Khan to make the announcement.

He stressed the need for the whole country to work together to restore roads, schools and communities hospital. “Victim rehabilitation and provision of food and medicine are our top priorities” the Punjab Prime Minister announced.
