UHS announces first merit list for MBBS and BDS

The first selection list for admissions into government medical and dentistry institutes in Punjab was released by the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Wednesday.

On its website, UHS has published separate listings for MBBS and BDS.

According to a press release from UHS, the closing merit for Open Merit MBBS is 90.1270 and for BDS is 90.0459 percent. It was 91.8182 for MBBS and 91.7273 for BDS last year.

In the province, there are 3047 MBBS seats available on an open merit basis in 16 government medical colleges and 189 BDS seats available in three dental colleges.

With a merit of 92.6225 percent, King Edward Medical College Lahore remains the top pick of candidates.

DG Khan Medical College, Dera Ghazi Khan, has the lowest MBBS merit of 90.1270 percent. The closing merit for Lahore’s medical colleges is 91.1216 percent.

The last merit of Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore is 91.9017 percent, Services Institute of Medical Sciences Lahore is 91.4701, Ameer ud Din Medical College Lahore is 91.1216 percent, Nishtar Medical College Multan is 91.0446 percent, Rawalpindi Medical College Rawalpindi is 90.6528 percent, Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore is 90.6476 percent, Punjab Medical College Fa

The closing merit for BDS is 90.0641 for de’Montmorency College of Dentistry Lahore, 90.0580 for Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Multan, and 90.1270 for Dental Section Punjab Medical College Faisalabad.

The shortlisted candidates must submit their fee and other dues by December 22 for MBBS and December 28 for BDS.
