Chief Justice to visit Adiala Jail tomorrow

The court said that a specialist at the Pakistan Establishment of Clinical Sciences (PIMS) had analyzed the detainee, and the clinical report upheld charges of torment in the objection made by the detainee’s folks.

The court cautioned the jail director that a severe move would be made, and an examination would be led in the event that a detainee gripes of abuse while in jail. In a prior occurrence, a 21-year-old detainee Shahab Hussain, captured in an enemy of psychological oppression case, was stripped and exposed to torment by Adiala prison authorities who had requested a payoff from him.

Hussain’s mom Imtiaz Bibi had recorded a request in the IHC expressing that the prison director and other staff individuals tormented her child and broke his finger.
