Turkey aims to trade $5B worth of goods in 3 years
Turkey and Pakistan have close ties, and Ankara wants to increase bilateral trade to $5 billion or more over the next two to three years. The potential of both countries is not represented by the current level of commerce.
When speaking to the business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Pacaci said this (ICCI).
The envoy explained that his government had given him the task of boosting trade between Pakistan and Turkey to $5 billion in three years as a starting step, however he noted that both nations had the potential to surpass that goal.
Turkey aspires to improve co-operation in a variety of areas, including business, industry, investment, education, and health. To improve commercial and economic connections, businesspeople from both nations should get to know one another better and put in a lot of effort, said Pacaci.

Despite having excellent connections, Pakistan and Turkey’s commerce was only $1.2 billion, according to ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari.
He emphasised the importance of strong links between the private sectors of the two nations.
