US wants to incite unrest in Iran and see it falling apart: IRGC

In light of recent violent riots across Iran, the head of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has emphasized the country’s resolve to thwart US and Western government plots. He claims Washington wants to incite more unrest and see Iran fall apart, but its evil dreams will in no way be realized.

The words were made by Major General Hossein Salami on Thursday during a ceremony honouring the victims of Qom in the revered Iranian city.

Salami said, “We are now witnessing a political arrangement on the global arena,” with the US, the UK, Germany, France, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and others having come to fight in the evil front. Salami was referring to the most recent riots in Iran and the West’s unwavering support for the unrest.

The IRGC chief emphasised that the enemy’s organisation against Iran demonstrates the scope of a “massive conspiracy” against the Iranian people. He added that “our high-ranking martyrs stood up to the enemy barehanded, but managed to weaken the enemy with confidence and strong hearts.”

Salami stated that the adversary has had unsettling thoughts and believes it can hurt our great revolution by bringing a few fools to the stage while the Iranian nation is still alive.

According to the commander, the US wants to stop Iran’s advancement and development, adding that “The US likes to see our streets smoke-filled and on fire; it likes us not to send spacecraft to the sky; it likes us to be needy, destitute, and crippled.” It would prefer that our patients could not obtain medication.

Salami added, “The US likes to divide our nation, it likes to dissolve Iran, and these terrible ambitions will never come true. Washington likes to see Iranian youths slain in the street. The Iranian people are steadfast.

After Mahsa Amini’s passing, riots with foreign backing started in Iran in the middle of September. The 22-year-old lost consciousness inside a Tehran police station and was declared dead three days later in a hospital. According to an official study by Iran’s Legal Medicine Organization, Amini’s death was brought on by disease as opposed to reported blows to the brain or other important body parts.

Western nations, especially the United States, supported the rioters as they went on the rampage, viciously hitting security personnel and seriously damaging public property.

Due of Iran’s response to the recent riots, the European Union and certain Western nations have placed sanctions on the country. Iran responded by announcing tit-for-tat penalties against organisations and people in the European Union because of their intentional support for terrorism and terrorist organizations.

The United States and the United Kingdom were “directly” involved in the unrest, according to Iran’s Intelligence Ministry earlier in the month. It also said that dozens of terrorists connected to the Israeli regime and anti-revolutionary groups had been arrested.
