Saudi bombing kills children in Yemen’s Hajjah

At least three individuals, including two children, were killed and two more were injured when Saudi aeroplanes targeted a residential area in Yemen’s northwestern province of Hajjah.

A security source informed Yemeni media that the deadly air raid on Sunday set fire to a house in Hajjah’s Harad area.

The attack killed a woman in her 60s and two children, as well as injuring two others, according to the source.

He also chastised the Saudi-led coalition for “targeting civilians and committing war crimes that are a disgrace to mankind.”

Saudi fighter jets struck Ma’rib, Hudaydah, and Sa’ada regions in Yemen more than 50 times on Saturday.

Saudi Arabia initiated the war on Yemen in March 2015, supported by the US and regional allies, with the goal of restoring the government of fugitive former Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and crushing the popular Ansarullah resistance organisation.

Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis have died as a result of the conflict, and millions more have been displaced. Yemen’s infrastructure has been decimated, and starvation and deadly diseases have spread across the country.

Despite Saudi Arabia’s massively armed assault of Yemen, the Yemeni armed forces and Popular Committees have progressively gained in power against the Saudi-led invaders, leaving Riyadh and its allies stranded in the nation.
