Three Palestinians, including prominent resistance fighter Ibrahim al-Nabulsi were killed by Israeli forces during a raid on Tuesday. They were targeted at a home in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
Al-Nabulsi, one of the Israeli army’s most wanted persons in the northern West Bank city, was shot during gunfire exchanges with Israeli soldiers in the center of the ancient town of Nablus.
Along with Hussain Jamal Taha and Islam Sobhi, he was later declared dead in Rafidia Hospital, bringing the total number of Palestinians murdered by the Israeli military in 2022 to 129, including at least 34 kids.
During the operation, at least 40 other Palestinians suffered injuries. Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah, is led by Nabulsi.
The teenage warrior has been the target of numerous attempts by the Israeli army, the most recent of which occurred on July 24 when he was surrounded by other fighters in a house in the Al-Yasmina neighborhood of the ancient city of Nablus.
After fierce battle, he was able to escape unharmed, but two other fighters, Abdul Rahman Jamal Suleiman Sobh, 28, and Muhammad Azizi, 25, were lost.
The fatal ambush in the Makhfiya neighborhood in February is thought to have marked the first documented effort to capture Nablusi. Before he showed up alive at their funeral, it was first believed that he was one of the three persons that were killed that day.
Similar to the 24 July raid, his whereabouts were unclear for a while, but he once more attended Sobh and Azizi’s funerals, enhancing his reputation in the city as an elusive fighter.
