Ameesha Patel supports Fawad Khan amidst the Bollywood film’s release controversy.
Renowned Bollywood star Ameesha Patel has lately expressed solidarity with Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan amidst his upcoming Indian movie Abir Gulaal’s release controversy and welcomed his return to the Indian film Industry.
It is important to note here that Fawad Khan has collaborated with Indian actress Vaani Kapoor for Upcoming Bollywood film Abir Gulaal, which has faced significant resistance in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, has strongly opposed the film’s release in the country due to Fawad Khan’s Pakistani nationality. They also threatened the actors supporting the film release.

Moving on, in the latest rounds of the event, Ameesha Patel appeared in an interview session during which the actress was asked for her views on across-the-border star Fawad Khan’s great comeback to the Industry.
While replying, the actress expressed likeness for Fawad Khan and also appreciated his return to Indian movies, adding that actors from all over the world are welcome in the country, as it is the tradition of India.
She furthered, “We embrace every actor and every musician. This is the essence of India. Therefore, art is art; I do not make distinctions”.
