Famous Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has reportedly declined Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 offer following her recent pregnancy announcement.
This unexpected news has left fans surprised about the future of the much-anticipated action franchise, which stars Ranveer Singh as the new Don.

Kiara was confirmed as the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh in Don 3 back in February 2024.
The casting announcement generated excitement as it marked her first collaboration with Singh and director Farhan Akhtar.
However, just days after announcing her pregnancy on March 1, 2025, reports surfaced that she had decided to opt out of the film.
According to Pinkvilla, the decision was mutual, with Kiara choosing to prioritize her personal life as she prepares to welcome her first child.
The timing of her exit aligns with her ongoing commitments. She is currently wrapping up War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, as well as Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups with Yash.
It is believed that she intends to complete these projects before taking a break, leaving Don 3—which is yet to begin production—out of her immediate plans.
Kiara and Sidharth Malhotra, who tied the knot in February 2023, shared their pregnancy announcement in a heartwarming Instagram post, featuring tiny baby socks with the caption, “The greatest gift of our lives. Coming soon.”
The news was received with love from fans and Bollywood celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt.
Who will join Don 3 now?
The third installment of the Don franchise—originally led by Amitabh Bachchan and later Shah Rukh Khan—has been a hot topic since Ranveer Singh was announced as the new Don in August 2023.
Director Farhan Akhtar recently confirmed that shooting would commence in 2025, with actor Vikrant Massey rumored to play the antagonist.
Kiara’s exit, however, throws a curveball into the production timeline.
As of now, neither Farhan Akhtar nor the Don 3 team has issued an official statement on Kiara’s departure or who might replace her.
