Wasu Khan, a Baloch singer, passed away on Friday in Sukkur, according to news sources. Singer Shehzad Roy, who included Khan in his video, also shared the news.
According to sources, Khan had a respiratory illness and was admitted to a private hospital where he expired. The singer was previously believed to be living in appalling conditions, but Roy later reached out to him. The Apney Ulloo singer has since sought out to assist his long-time partner and buddy, raising the issue with the Balochistan administration. “Wasu Khan passed away this morning. He was unable to read and write but had great political intellect and wrote political satire. We will miss him,” the musician shared on the micro-blogging website.

“Wasu and I met the CM today and Wasu informed him that he has sold the land, I had bought for him and requested CM to give him a house. Jam Kamal Khan assured me that he will do his best to help him. We also discussed education reforms in Balochistan,” Roy revealed in a tweet in 2020.
Also, Roy also said that he had been in constant touch with Khan for the past decade with the exception of the period in which the former’s family contracted coronavirus.
“Last ten years I was constantly in touch with Wasu until my whole family got Corona,” he said. Adding on, Roy revealed that after speaking to Khan, the latter noted that he didn’t want to trouble the singer. “He did not call me, he said he didn’t want to trouble me more and wanted help from the government. So, I have come to Quetta to meet him. He asked me to take him to the CM,” Roy tweeted while posting a video of Khan in which he discussed his circumstances.
