Illegal screening of Pathaan banned in Sindh

Illegal screening of Pathaan banned in Sindh. The public screening of the Indian film Pathaan has been banned by the Sindh Board of Film Censor.

The SBFC conducted its own investigation to identify the social media pages selling tickets for private screenings of the movie in response to a report that appeared in Dawn on February 1 about illegal screenings of the film at several places in the Defence Housing Authority.

According to the SBFC, only films certified by them are allowed for public or private viewing. “No person shall make or arrange a public or private exhibition of a film by means of cinematograph unless the film has been duly certified for public exhibition by the Board.”

Illegal screening of Pathaan banned in Sindh. The board asked that Firework Events, the organisation in charge of the screenings, immediately cancel its performances in light of the aforementioned rule as well as other regulations and punishments, such as up to three years in prison and fines of up to Rs100,000.

Fireworks Events cancelled all of its Pathaan private screenings as a result of the warning.

According to the sources, Shah Rukh charged his borderline fee for this blockbuster which is around Rs350 to 400 million. This is shocking for his fans and the world as well but Khan follows a model for charging in which he signs the film for a relatively low fee and takes massive chunks from the profit of the movie. In short, he partners up with the producers for the profit earned.
