Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, a cricket player and newlywed, uploaded a number of romantic images from their wedding in Khandala on Monday. The bride and groom are featured in pictures from the wedding ceremony wearing ivory and pastel pink attire, respectively. Athiya Shetty’s bridal outfit took 10000 hours to make.
The caption on Instagram began with a quote: “In your light, I learn how to love.” The wedding post continued, “Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.”
The farmhouse owned by Athiya’s family served as the gathering place for the 70 guests. The bride wore a silk lehenga with zardozi and jaali embroidery that had a soft pink colour designed by Anamika Khanna. “Silks were used for her main costume, and silk organza was used for her veil and dupatta.” Athiya Shetty’s bridal outfit took 10000 hours to make. Anamika, the designer, told Vogue India. “The outfit is a labour of love. It took approximately 10, 000 hours to make.”
Athiya, a proponent of the less-is-more movement, went nude and went all out for her wedding. Her dress was enhanced by the muted pink makeup. She finished off her look with nude-pink lips, soft blush pink eyeshadow, and kohl-lined eyelids. The hair bun updo, a timeless favourite for brides, appeared fuss-free and useful. A loose bohemian bun do was made more balanced by the mane-parted bun laced with a maang tika.
Rahul, on the other hand, chose a chikankari kurta and an ivory sherwani. A shawl that matched the printed jacket was worn with it. The finishing touches included layered necklaces made of emeralds and kundan.

Suniel Shetty, Athiya’s father, verified that the pheras was over to the journalists present outside the venue after the wedding. He stated, “I am now a father-in-law,” and indicated a celebration would probably take place following the IPL season. To celebrate the wedding, Suniel and his son Ahan Shetty gave out treats to the media.
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, who reportedly started dating in 2019, held pre-wedding activities over the weekend, including a sangeet. As with the wedding itself, these were all private affairs.
