Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor earn double from their investment in DroneAcharya
Shankar Sharma, a veteran businessman, has made a 100% profit on his Rs 2.45 crore investment in the startup DroneAcharya Aerial. According to a report in the Economic Times, the Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor also increased their investment from the same startup.
Prateek Srivastava started the start-up, which has its headquarters in Pune, and it has received support from people like Sharma, Aamir, and Ranbir, among others.
According to the report, Aamir spent Rs 25 lakhs to purchase 46,600 shares in DroneAcharya, while Ranbir spent Rs 20 lakhs to get 37,200 shares. Each share was sold for Rs 53.59.
One of the first private companies to receive a DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) certified licence was DroneAcharya earlier this year. Over 200 pilots may have received training from the company this year. Surveys are also carried out in the fields of mining, agriculture, water resources, and law and order.

Speaking about the venture, Srivastava, the Founder and Managing Director of DroneAcharya Aerial, told the publication, “Training and manufacturing are going to play major roles in the growth story of DroneAcharya as a global brand. We are targeting not just the Indian market but also Southeast Asia, Middle East, US and Central Asia.”
On the work front, Aamir had one release this year in the form of Laal Singh Chaddha while he made a guest appearance in Salaam Venky. Ranbir, on the other hand, was seen this year in Shamshera and Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva.
