Emma Watson shows solidarity with the people of Palestine in her latest post.
Emma, a Hollywood actor, took to Instagram to express sympathy with Palestinians, and her social media post enraged Israeli envoys.
On social media, the Harry Potter star shared a photo of people holding Palestinian flags and placards.
“Solidarity is a verb,” the text on the image read.
She included a phrase about solidarity from Australian novelist Sara Ahmed.

our pain is the same pain, or that our

well as the recognition that even if we
do not have the same feelings, or the

The actor’s Instagram post received millions of likes.
Husam Zumlot, the Palestinian Ambassador and Head of Mission to the United Kingdom commended Emma Watson for displaying support for them in a tweet.

Palestinians expressed their gratitude in the comments section.
“Thankful You are a free and honorable person,” a user wrote. Another said, “Thank you♥️ we all love and respect you even if you choose to be silent, but you’re so brave that you can’t ignore the unfairness in the world ♥️♥️”
“LMAO at the Zios yelling solidarity is antisemitism,” said a third user. Emma Watson is a British actress. Thank you for standing on the correct side of history. We admire your commitment to human rights and your refusal to succumb to the misinformation surrounding the ethnic cleansing and mistreatment of Palestinians. Thank you very much.”
Gilad Erdan, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, was outraged by the actor’s statement and used the Harry Potter franchise to speak out against her.
