Wayne Rooney, Shah Rukh Khan meet to discuss football and Bollywood
Famous England player Wayne Rooney and Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, met for one of the greatest cross-overs in history to discuss football, Bollywood, and the actor’s new film, Pathaan.
What is Pathaan? Is he comparable to any football players? As the two of them sat together to watch the FIFA World Cup on Sunday night, Rooney asked the Dilwale actor. Khan said, “Honestly, I will tell you who Pathaan is. I’m not saying this because you are here. When you are stuck and unable to find a solution, Pathaan is the person you should call at the last minute.
“Who is Pathaan? Is he similar to anyone in football?” Rooney asked the Dilwale star as the duo sat together to watch the FIFA World Cup Sunday night. “I’m not saying this because you are here,” Khan quipped, “Honestly I will tell you who Pathaan is. Pathaan is the guy you call last minute when you are all tied up and you can’t find a solution.”
Comparing his upcoming character to the Manchester United striker, the Kal Ho Naa Ho star added. “For me, if you don’t mind me saying, if Pathaan is to be equated to any footballer in the world, before or after or later, it will always be you. You are the tough guy.” He added, “You can’t get a goal and you know the guy who is going to get it for you when you are in trouble when you need a break when you need a victory, who are you going to call? ‘Mr Wayne Rooney.'”
Later, the pair also posed in Khan’s well-known style. Fans were astounded to see the strange duo of Rooney and Khan interact with the crowd and amuse them.

Khan enjoys participating in sports and used to play hockey in college. Additionally, he is the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, an IPL team. The Indian athlete already posted a video on Instagram on Thursday with action footage from prior matches to inform his supporters of the news.
