Aamir Khan to take break from acting “I want to be with my family”
Following the failure of his most recent film, Laal Singh Chaddha, at the box office, Aamir Khan recently made one of his few public appearances and said that he would be taking a break from acting “for the first time in his career” as he wants to spend time with his family.
It is noteworthy that Laal Singh Chaddha was Aamir Khan’s first film in more than three years following his most recent box office failure, Thugs of Hindostan.
Khan has stated that he will produce his upcoming film, “Champions.” At a Delhi event, Aamir Khan revealed that he had planned to begin filming Champions right after Laal Singh Chaddha but decided against it in favour of taking a sabbatical from acting. Champions will be co-produced by 200 Not Out Productions, Sony Pictures International Productions India, and Aamir Khan Productions.
Khan said at an event in Delhi, “As an actor, I get so engrossed in a project that nothing else occurs in my life. I therefore made the decision to take a sabbatical. I desire to be with my loved ones. with my mother and my children.”
Aamir Khan further said, “I feel like I’ve been working for 35 years and I’ve been totally focused on my movies, and it’s not fair for the people who are close to me.”
The actor, who said he wants to experience a different side of life, remarked, “I am looking at the next year and a half in which I am not actually working as an actor and I will be working as a producer.”

Aamir most recently appeared in the Bollywood adaptation of Tom Hanks’ iconic Hollywood film “Forrest Gump,” “Laal Singh Chaddha.” Along with him, he played a significant role in the Advait Chandan-directed movie, which was released in August of this year. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Manav Vij, and Naga Chaitanya also played important roles.

The movie flopped miserably despite a huge budget and extensive marketing, and both audiences and critics attacked it for being a shoddy spoof of the Tom Hanks classic.
The audience’s disapproval was influenced by Aamir Khan’s prior anti-India remarks, his unfavourable and derogatory portrayal of Hindu Gods in his film PK, and his overtly political past statements.
