Iqra Aziz renounces project with Feroze Khan in light of abuse allegations
Pakistani actress Iqra Aziz Hussain, wife of the actor and director Yasir Hussain has decided to withdraw from her collaboration with Feroze Khan in the light of abuse allegations by Feroze’s ex-wife Syeda Aliza Khan.
The action is taken to help victims of domestic abuse in addition to being outspoken about the women rights and gender equality.
Iqra Aziz Hussain has formally announced a retraction of a project named “Pinjra”. Previously, she was working on with her ‘Khuda Aur Mohabbat’ as co-star.
On Wednesday, Iqra along with her husband actor Yasir Hussain stands with Khan’s ex-wife Aliza Sultan. Yasir Hussain is always famous in the entertainment industry for widely supporting women rights.
Iqra wrote in her Instagram post, “To stay silent in the face of injustice is to side with the oppressor… I have made the difficult but necessary decision to retract my project with Feroze Khan as a sign of support for victims of domestic abuse. I support Aliza Sultan for seeking justice, more strength, and power for you.”

Syeda Aliza Sultan, who recently provided records and pictures of her injuries in a Karachi family court as evidence of domestic abuse.
Pictures of Aliza Sultan with injuries as well as records has become viral on social media on Tuesday. These pictures are shared along with a report from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre’s Accident and Emergency Department describing “blunt injuries on arms, back, chest, and face.” According to the diagnosis, it was an “assault.”

Feroze Khan issued a statement on Tuesday night, refuting the allegations of abuse made against him by his ex-wife. He referred to these claims as baseless, and untrue.
The family court is now hearing two cases, one brought by Khan for custody of their two children and one brought by Sultan for child support. The case will be heard again on November 1.
