Atif Aslam discloses new song featuring Amy Jackson
After keeping to himself for a long while now, renowned singer and everyone’s favorite star Atif Aslam has returned with news that is sure to excite his fans. The Dil Diyan Gallan crooner is “chasing love by the moonrise” with British actor and model Amy Louise Jackson, as per his latest announcement.
A poster shared on his Instagram on Sunday reveals the title of his new song, “Moonrise” which is set to feature Jackson. The poster sees him opposite Jackson with a moon in the foreground, and Aslam standing atop a mountain hill. “Moonrise, coming soon,” it declares.
The music video for the song, written by Raj Ranjodh, will be directed by Adnan Qazi and produced by Tarun Chaudhary and Omer Ahmed. A date for the release is yet to be disclosed.

Jackson is known for her work in Indian films, especially Tamil and Telugu films. A former Miss Teen World, Jackson made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with “Warner Brothers” television production of DC Comics Supergirl. In India, she is known most for her roles in Singh Is Bliing (2015) and 2.0 (2018).

Atif Aslam was last seen in Coke Studio Season 14’s Sajan Das Na. He also made his acting debut with Sang e Mah playing Hilmand. Before that, he released Rafta Rafta, with a music video featuring Sajal Aly. Rafta Rafta was also written by Ranjodh and produced by Chaudhary and Ahmed.
The song, although much-awaited, was a sub-par attempt at a feel-good, romantic number, especially when compared to the impeccable ballads Aslam has offered previously. Here’s hoping Moonrise is a treat to the ears, as much as it will be a treat to the eyes.
