After months of conjecture and rumours, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif married in a lavish ceremony at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan.
In traditional outfits, the pair looked stunning. For their wedding, the couple chose Sabyasachi, a well-known designer. Katrina looked amazing in a magnificent red lehenga choli with gold decoration, while Vicky wore an ivory and gold sherwani. To finish her appearance, the Sooryavanshi actress used hefty jewellery and a floral bun with minimal makeup. After thereafter, the couple rushed to social media to share photos from the ceremony.
“Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment. Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together,” both the posts read.
Sabyasachi, too, posted on Instagram to reveal the couple’s wardrobe details. “Katrina Kaif is dressed in a traditional Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga with delicate tilla work and precisely stitched renaissance zardozi borders in velvet by Sabyasachi. Her veil is custom-trimmed with handcrafted kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold, in honour of the groom’s Punjabi ancestry “The couple’s photos were included in the article.
“The lehenga is matched with bespoke bridal jewellery from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery with uncut diamonds in 22k gold and hand-strung pearls,” it continued.
While writing about the details of Uri star’s sherwani, Sabyasachi wrote, “The groom Vicky Kaushal wears an ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons, with a silk kurta and churidar.”
The post further shared, “The shawl is a tussar georgette with a zari marori embroidered pallu and borders. The gold Benarasi silk tissue safa is paired with a handcrafted kilangi and statement necklace studded in emeralds, brilliant-cut and rose-cut diamonds, quartz and tourmalines in 18k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.”
According to reports, the couple held a private celebration for guests on Tuesday, followed by Haldi and Sangeet rituals for friends and family on Wednesday. The pair arrived at the site earlier this week, and guests were required to follow tight guidelines that included no cell phone use in order to protect the privacy of the celebrity couple.
The constant secrecy surrounding Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s romantic journey to their royal nuptials was all part of a larger scheme. The pair officially sold the telecast rights of their destination wedding to streaming giant Amazon Prime Video for a staggering figure of INR 800 million, allowing the couple’s admirers complete access to the inside of the destination wedding.
The streaming behemoth will capture their relationship from friends to lovers to engagement, culminating in a four-day extravaganza party in Rajasthan. Vicky and Katrina’s wedding video is expected to debut in early 2022 on the digital platform. The couple had their guests sign an NDA and kept a no-mobile-phone policy throughout the ceremonies to ensure that nothing from the weddings was leaked before they were streamed.
