Imran Khan committed contempt of court: Rana Sanaullah

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said Thursday that he personally monitored the security situation all night and noticed that the people had completely rejected the band of rioters.

“Imran Niazi reneged on his promise with the Supreme Court to hold a rally at a designated location, and he broke his word by announcing a march towards D-Chowk,” the interior minister said in a statement.

Rana Sanaullah also stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protesters set fire to metro bus stations and trees (PTI).

“Under the shield of the Supreme Court’s decision, the band of rioters continued setting things on fire all night,” he despised, adding that Imran Niazi continued trampling Supreme Court orders from his container all night.

“Imran Khan kept announcing contempt of court from his container all night,” he despised, adding, “The police did not fire a single rubber bullet.” It’s a piece of slander.”

He also stated that at least 18 police officers and Rangers personnel were seriously injured, and vowed that the Islamabad police and Rangers would continue to protect people’s lives and property.

“I pay my respects to every Jawan of the Islamabad police and Rangers,” he said.

“The Supreme Court should issue clear orders to ensure the write of the Constitution and state so that the band of rioters can be expelled from Islamabad and the safety of life and property of the citizens of Islamabad can be ensured,” the interior minister said.

“Rangers and Islamabad police bravely and responsibly guarded the citizens of Islamabad and used tear gas to control the band of rioters,” he added.
