On Wednesday, Hammad Azhar, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), filed a contempt of court petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz and Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab.
In his petition, Hammad Azhar claims that lawmakers are harassed and arrested and that the government is violating citizens’ fundamental rights.
The PTI leader has asked the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the Punjab Chief Minister and Inspector General.
