Five new Punjab assistant AGs appointed with approval of CM Hamza

The law secretary has appointed five new lawyers as Punjab assistant advocate generals with the approval of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz.

On Friday, after receiving approval from Punjab Chief Minister Hamza, the law secretary announced the appointment of five attorneys as Punjab assistant advocate generals.

Included among the notified judicial officers are Amjad Ali Chattah, Muhammad Nasir Chohan, and Sardar Tariq Mehmood. Syed Muhammad Fahd Tirmazi and Shafqat Ali Khan.

The new appointees have already arrived at the Advocate General’s Office in preparation to assume their responsibilities on Friday morning.

Mr. Chattah and Mr. Chohan are former law enforcement officers.

During the previous Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf administration, Mr. Chohan was an ardent supporter of the PML-N.

Nevertheless, Mr. Chattah maintained a low profile during the previous PTI regime, adhering to the doctrine of necessity.
