ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, National Security Advisor (NSA) Dr. Moeed Yusuf led a six-member delegation to Moscow for a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.
According to a statement published by the Pakistan Embassy in Moscow, the NSA had been invited to have delegation-level talks by his Russian counterpart.
The two talked about bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia, as well as international relations and the changing situation in the area.
Cooperation in economics, energy, defense, counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, and information and cyber security were among the topics discussed in the bilateral realm.
According to the press statement, the two sides reviewed the situation in Afghanistan in-depth and resolved to support all efforts to bring lasting peace to Afghanistan.
According to the media release, the two voiced extreme worry over the oncoming humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan and encouraged the international community to take constructive steps to mitigate the impending situation.
Dr. Mooed and Nikolai Patrushev expressed satisfaction with the progress of their bilateral relations and decided to continue working together on all issues of mutual concern.
