People chased PM Shahbaz and his delegation in Masjid e Nabawi

On Thursday, a group of protesters claiming to be from the PTI breached the sanctity of Madinah’s Masjid-e-Nabawi by chanting anti-Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation chants as they entered the mosque to pay their respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH).

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz and his party arrived in Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Shahzain Bugti, Mohsin Dawar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi, Chaudhry Salik, and four members of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s staff will join him.

Protesters began chanting “chor, chor (thieves)” and harassed and screamed inappropriate chants against Marriyum Aurangzeb as PM Shehbaz and his delegation arrived at the mosque.

Videos of the terrible incident have subsequently gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, JWP leader and Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Shahzain Bugti was ridiculed and had his hair pulled. Protesters proceeded to use their iPhones to record the entire affair.

“I have a lot of respect for Mecca and Medina,” Bugti said of the incident. “No one is allowed to speak loudly there.” Those who made disparaging words about Marriyum Aurangzeb are still alive, hence the arrest rumour is incorrect.”

“I don’t want to name the person responsible for this tragedy because I don’t want to utilise this holy territory for political objectives,” Aurangzeb remarked in response to the terrible incident, without naming Imran Khan but plainly referring to him.

“However, repairing the damage that these people have done to our society will take time, and we can only do so by having a positive mindset.” She went on to explain that the PML’s leadership N’s had told its personnel to restrain their emotions.

Following the incident, political and religious authorities, as well as members of other socioeconomic groups, expressed their displeasure and severely criticised political slogan chanting at Masjid-e-Nabwi.
