The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced that electricity supply will remain temporarily suspended in several areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and GSO Circle on Sunday, January 26, 2026, due to scheduled system maintenance and development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the shutdown is necessary to improve system stability and ensure safe power distribution across the region.
Power Outage Schedule in Islamabad and Rawalpindi Areas
In the Islamabad Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on feeders including TDCP, MCM, Gharial, Upper Topa, Patriata, PAF, and Kuldana.
In the Rawalpindi City Circle, outages will affect the Raja Sultan, New Mulpur, Muzammil Town, Al-Noor Colony, Tariq Shaheed, Nawaz Colony, B.N. Hospital, Zafar-ul-Haq, Dhoke Khabba, Major Masood, Sarafa Bazar, Gawalmandi, Westridge, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Bagh Sardaran, Madina Colony, People Colony, Chearing Cross, Radio Pak-I, Bajniyal, Bajniyal-II, Noon, and Mohan Pura feeders during the same time period.

Rawalpindi Cantt Circle: Long-Duration Power Shutdown
In the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on feeders including Macca Chowk, Dheri Hassanabad, State Bank, Dhok Noor, Kohala, Punjar, Major Muhammad Hanif, Sepoy Ibrar Hussain, Chowk Pindori, New Choa Khalsa, Sihala College, Mandra, LTC (Gujar Khan), Hamad Jhangi, Mandra-II, Pind Jhatla, Bhangali, Syed Kasran, Chak Bali Khan-2, CBR-II, Old Rawat, New Rawat, AOWHS, Suparco, CWO, and IST.
Kahuta City-1, Lehtrar-1, and Narh feeders will also remain without electricity during the same time frame.
Power Outage in Attock Circle Areas
In the Attock Circle, feeders affected include Ghazi Kohli, Margalla, Sangjani, A-Block, Arcade, Lala Zar, Brahma, Kohsar Valley, Babrakki, Hameed, Haji Shah, Ghourghushti, Peoples Colony (Triple Circuit), Shakaradar (Triple Circuit), Mari (Triple Circuit), Dilawar Abad T/C, Sirka T/C, Shadi Khan T/C, Golra, Soni, Pindi Gheb City, Noorpur, Jhang, Bhandar, Dhurnal, Gaggan, Aman Pur, and Fawara Chowk.
Residents in these areas are advised to make necessary arrangements during the outage period.
Electricity Suspension in Chakwal and Jhelum Circles
In the Chakwal Circle, feeders including Kot Chaudhrian, Mengan, Sethi, Islamia Chowk, Dera Muslim, Dhudial City, Mulhal Mughlan, Sarkal, Basharat, Duffer, Dalwal, Lilla Town, K.S. Mines, Abdullah Pur, Kot Gullah, Kot Shera, Pichnand, Malikwal, Akwal, Bilalabad, Dhermond, and Khuiyan will face power suspension.
In the Jhelum Circle, outages will affect the New Cantt Jhelum, CMH Jhelum, Shakreela, Shamasabad, Citi Housing, Chamala, Gaddari, Phadial, Nathwala, F-12 (Sanghoi), Safdar Shaheed, CO Muhammad Akram, Ward No-8, Pind Mattay Khan, Ghouri Dhamaik, Chappar Sharif, Guliana, Dora Badhal, and Kanggar Thathi feeders.
GSO Circle Power Outage Schedule
In the GSO Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on the Charhoi, City-2, Sehnsa, Fateh Pur, City-1, NAR, and Khui Ratta feeders. Additionally, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, outages will affect the City, Datot, Jandrot, Mohra, and Karala feeders along with surrounding areas.
IESCO Advises Consumers to Take Precautions
IESCO has advised residents and businesses in affected areas to plan accordingly and cooperate with field teams during maintenance activities. The company stated that the power supply will be restored immediately after completion of scheduled work, though timings may vary depending on technical conditions.
