Sindh Launches Training for Women Under Pink Scooty Program

The Sindh government has launched a free pink scooty training program for women in Hyderabad as part of its broader push to promote mobility and independence for women.

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), in collaboration with KFC, is organizing the training at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad. The program will run from December 18 to December 25, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Officials said the initiative offers hands-on riding training to help women gain confidence and develop independent mobility skills. Trainers will guide participants throughout the sessions at the venue.

Earlier this month, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon announced the launch of the second phase of the province’s electric scooter distribution scheme. He said the initiative aims to expand eco-friendly transport options and strengthen women’s access to affordable mobility.

Under the second phase, the Sindh Mass Transit Authority has started registrations for free Pink EV scooties in Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Shaheed Benazirabad. Officials said the scheme is open to students and working women.

Officials said beneficiaries under the scooter scheme will receive seven days of free training and assistance in obtaining a driving license. Officials described the Hyderabad training program as part of the same effort to equip women with skills and support before they begin independent travel.
