The Sindh cabinet has approved Rs.1 billion for the production of films, dramas, and documentaries aimed at public awareness.
The decision came during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and attended by provincial ministers, advisers, special assistants, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Agha Wasif, and other senior officers.
A spokesperson for the Chief Minister House clarified that the allocation does not target any foreign film industry or propaganda content. He said the funds will support documentaries and productions focused on public awareness issues.
According to the spokesperson, the planned content will highlight the importance of polio eradication, awareness campaigns for growers, and other public interest messages.
The chief minister directed all departments to ensure the timely use of approved funds while maintaining transparency and financial discipline.
