The United Arab Emirates has fixed a uniform time for Friday prayers and sermons across all mosques in the country.
According to the General Authority for Islamic Affairs in Abu Dhabi, the Friday sermon and prayer will now be held simultaneously nationwide at 12:45 PM.
The Islamic Affairs authority said the unified timing will be implemented across the UAE from January 2, 2026.
Earlier, Friday prayers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi were usually offered around 1:30 PM, while in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, the timing was around 12:30 PM.
The new decision standardises the prayer and sermon time throughout the country.
