Imran Khan to soon meet his fate, claims Sanaullah

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan will soon see the end of his political career.

Adressing a public gathering in Gujranwala, Sanaullah criticized Khan’s past governance, his relationship with the establishment, and the internal dynamics within PTI.

Sanaullah stated that during Khan’s tenure as prime minister, the government “brought disaster”, emphasising that former Chief of Army Staff Qamar Bajwa bore responsibility for certain decisions. He added that Nawaz Sharif had refrained from criticizing state institutions during his tenure, highlighting a contrast with PTI’s approach.

He claimed that Khan’s quarrel with the establishment arose from his attempts to eliminate political opponents.

“The PTI founder was instructing the establishment to take action against adversaries, which led to disagreements,” Sanaullah said. He also accused Khan of attempting to blackmail the establishment to secure support for his political ambitions.

Internal party issues

Sanaullah suggested that 85 percent of PTI members no longer align with Khan’s agenda. He warned that the party’s politics are increasingly resembling the MQM founder’s controversial strategies and will not succeed.

He further stated that slogans such as “Pakistan Murdabad” propagated in the past are part of the PTI founder’s radical narrative, which will not be accepted by the majority.

Rana Sanaullah predicted a party split, stating that a small faction, 10 to 15 percent of members, may follow the breakaway Adiala Tehreek-e-Insaf, but the majority of PTI members will not adhere to this new narrative.

Sanaullah emphasized that the main party will continue on a different political path, distancing itself from the PTI founder’s controversial agenda.
