Former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari called PTI chairman Imran Khan a liar, saying his hatred is for his mindset, not for Imran Khan.
Asif Ali Zardari called former Prime Minister Imran Khan a liar during an interview with Hamid Mir.
“Imran Khan has been lying from the beginning, and while we don’t hate him, we do despise his mindset,” Asif Zardari said.
Zardari also refuted Imran Khan’s claim that he was ousted with the help of the US through a no-confidence motion.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, is the country’s first no-trust prime minister.
The National Assembly held a vote on the no-trust motion against Imran Khan on Saturday, and the motion received 174 votes in favor.
“For the past three years, we had been in contact with Khan’s allies in an attempt to depose him,” he said “Zardari also revealed that he had secret meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in connection with the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan.
“I am a guarantor in all agreements made with allies, and we will fulfill all of their legitimate demands,” the former president said, referring to wooing Khan’s allies to vote against him in the no-trust motion.

Asif Zardari said Bilawal’s inclusion in PM Shehbaz’s cabinet will be decided by the party’s Central Executive Committee because the PPP has the second-largest membership in the coalition government’s NA (CEC).
“Bilawal Bhutto’s appointment as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister will be decided at the PPP’s CEC meeting,” he said.
