Security withdrawn from Islamabad judges.
A new security controversy started in the federal capital after officials withdrew security from district judges, including the removal of armed gunmen assigned to their protection.
The Islamabad Sessions Court immediately took notice and demanded answers from senior police officials.
Security assigned to Islamabad’s district judges was withdrawn without prior notice, raising concerns over the safety of judicial officers. Armed gunmen stationed with the judges were also pulled back.
The decision has raised eyebrows in judicial circles, given the sensitive nature of cases handled by district and sessions courts.

Sessions judge issues show-cause notice
District and Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana quickly responded to the move. Taking notice of the security withdrawal, he issued a formal show-cause notice to the deputy inspector general (security).
The court order demanded an explanation for why security personnel had been withdrawn from judges without justification or consultation.
Along with the written notice, the judge directed DIG (operations) to personally appear in court today. The purpose of the summons is to clarify the reasoning behind withdrawing protection from Islamabad’s district judges.

The show cause notice explicitly states that DIG Operations must provide a detailed explanation for the decision.
