Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi launches an online women police station.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday launched the Online Women Police Station and the 1Info mobile application during his visit to Islamabad’s Safe City Headquarters—an important move toward modernising law enforcement through technology and enhancing public safety.
Women-centric police station
The newly launched Online Women Police Station is specifically designed to handle complaints from women and is staffed entirely by female personnel. These include call operators, first responders, and investigation officers, all operating the 1815 helpline.

The 1Info mobile application allows citizens to lodge emergency complaints directly through their smartphones, making it easier and faster to reach law enforcement.
Minister Naqvi lauded Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ali Nasir Rizvi and his team for rolling out these citizen-friendly services.
During his tour of the facility, the interior minister examined the digital surveillance infrastructure at the Safe City Headquarters.
He highlighted the importance of expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve policing and security measures, aiming to transform Islamabad into the safest city in the country.
Naqvi also proposed the integration of Safe City projects across provinces to enable better real-time information sharing and national coordination.
He urged officials to develop more inclusive and user-friendly digital platforms, particularly to support women and other at-risk groups, reinforcing the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety and security.
