Shehbaz Sharif, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, said on Wednesday that the decision to designate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as Punjab Chief Minister is still being debated.
Shehbaz said none of the heads of state should have any influence on the National Accountability Bureau during an interview with veteran anchorperson Nasim Zehra on the 24NewsHD TV station (NAB).
Shehbaz remarked that NAB should function without being victimized.
Imran, according to Shehbaz, is the worst leader ever, even among dictators. “Pervez Musharraf, too, had not detained the sisters or daughters.”
Only a new mandate, according to Shehbaz, can return the country to progress.
Shehbaz said: “We will thwart the corrupt practices and criminal negligence, which is prevailing in the tenure of PTI-led government.”
He said that during the Nawaz era price of sugar was Rs52, which has now reached Rs130 and the price of flour was Rs35, which now has reached Rs100.
Shehbaz claimed that the PTI-led government’s incompetence, negligence, inefficiencies, and corruption have emptied the pockets of the people.
Shehbaz praised the PML-N leader, saying that after Nawaz was re-elected as Prime Minister for the third time, the country saw unprecedented prosperity in just four years. The inflation rate during the Nawaz era was 3.5 percent, according to Shehbaz.
Shehbaz went on to remark that when Nawaz was prime minister, a record amount of tax was collected. Shehbaz claimed that the people had to endure 20 hours of load shedding, but that Nawaz had resolved the situation.
Shehbaz went on to state that four finance ministers had been replaced in the ruling PTI cabinet. Shehbaz slammed the prime minister, claiming that Imran Khan had made numerous claims and that he has a team of 200 specialists.
Shehbaz said that PML-N supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had tasked him and other senior party officials withholding negotiations with the PML-Q and other parties.
“Through the Long March, we shall voice the rage of the people, regardless of whether or not we gain power.”
According to Shehbaz, he presented the ‘charter of an economy’ on the first floor of the mansion. And the efforts on this plan will continue since it ensures prosperity, he continued.
“We announced the Long March a long time ago,” Shehbaz explained.
“The government reacted in order to thwart the constitutional process of a vote of no confidence.”
The fundamental reason for staging the Long March, according to Shehbaz, is to address inflation, which is one of the problems that the public is facing.
According to the PML-president, N’s the Long March will represent the feelings of 220 million people.
“We postponed our Long March due to an OIC summit, yet Imran Khan did not postpone his ‘dharna’ in 2014 ahead of the coming of Chinese President Xi Jinping.”
Shehbaz stated that the combined opposition will take into account the renegade PTI leaders as well as independent candidates.
Imran Khan, according to Shehbaz, is to blame for the country’s demise. “PM Imran has destroyed our economy and is a national crisis,” Shehbaz added.
Shehbaz believed that political parties will come together for a period of time to face the difficulties of unemployment and a faltering economy.
Shehbaz went on to explain that Jawaharlal Nehru, who served as India’s prime minister for 14 years, is the difference between India and Pakistan.
“If Quaid-e-Azam lived for some years, after the independence, so the nation may not have to face man-made problems. “We as a nation are responsible for the prevailing situation of the country,” Shehbaz Sharif said.
Shehbaz said millions of people have sacrificed their lives for independence.
