Mian Shahbaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, has proposed a five-year minus PTI national government.
Shehbaz Sharif said on a private channel’s broadcast on Wednesday that the country should have a national government that would serve for five years.
Shehbaz Sharif paid a visit to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), on Tuesday and held a chat with him about the current situation.
PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ahsan Iqbal were in attendance, as were JUI leaders Asad Mehmood and Ghafoor Haidari.
Later, both leaders, Shehbaz and Fazlur Rehman, spoke to the media and expressed confidence that the no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan will be successful.
Shehbaz Sharif told the media that the OIC is holding a conference on March 23 and that they are attending. Despite their differences with the administration, he stated that they will welcome the visitors and treat them with respect.
A journalist asked Maulana Fazl why the opposition’s long march and public meeting were being canceled at this time. The question was not answered by Maulana Fazl.
He told the press that he was going to meet with Asif Ali Zardari to invite him to join the long march. However, on his visit to my home, Asif Zardari stated, “He has already accepted it,” according to Maulana Fazl.
On Wednesday evening, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former President Asif Ali Zardari visited Maulana Fazl’s apartment in Islamabad and reviewed the political developments surrounding the no-confidence motion.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maulana Asad Mahmood, Ghafoor Haidari, and others greeted Zardari. They also talked about the PDM Long March strategy.
According to the report, Asif Ali Zardari and PDM chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman reviewed the country’s political condition and the government’s response.
The effectiveness of the no-confidence resolution as a constitutional and democratic measure by the opposition against the government has been agreed upon by both leaders.
Asif Ali Zardari, the former President of Pakistan, left for his own home in Islamabad after the meeting. Later, Shahbaz Sharif invited Maulana Fazlur Rehman to his home for a meeting to discuss the matter.
