PM’s threats would no longer be tolerated. says Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari hits back to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s remark that Asif Ali Zardari was on his hit list on Thursday, adding that such “threats” would no longer be tolerated.

“This will no longer be tolerated; I am here today,” Bilawal stated at a press conference in Islamabad.

PM Imran Khan’s speech and the drone incident with Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, according to the PPP chairman, are two such occurrences that he cannot abide by.

He stated that his family and party had made several sacrifices for Pakistan’s return to democracy, but that they will no longer tolerate it.

‘I’m no longer a child’

“I am no longer a child,” Bilawal declared, referring to his age at the time of Benazir Bhutto’s murder.

Those who believe we will be terrified and retreat don’t realize that Zardari and Benazir’s blood runs through my veins, he remarked.

“Your generations will remember what I shall do to you.”

We never used weapons, but we know how to use them,” Bilawal added, adding that he is and always will be a peaceful person.

“However, if they continue to pressurize us, we will answer in the same way,” he continued, alluding to the prime minister’s “foul language.”

The PPP chairman said Zardari was “acquitted” in all the cases against him — from the lower to Supreme Court — and therefore, the prime minister took the support of “fake reports and JIT”.

‘Prime Minister Imran Khan relied on donations to run his kitchen’

He accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of stealing monies from India and Israel, as well as misusing donations made to Shaukat Khanum Hospital for the PTI.

“You exploited the cancer hospital’s funds to run your restaurant and your party […] you are a criminal; a US court has found you guilty,” he warned the prime leader.

Bilawal further said that he never spoke out against First Lady Bushra Bibi, but that information he received from the bureaucracy and other organizations revealed that no official could be posted in Punjab without first providing the first lady “money.”

“We were warned that your choice for chief minister [couldn’t give enough money], yet Buzdar invested in the proper area — and this problem (Buzdar) is still placed on us,” he remarked.

Bilawal claimed he was not Zardari, who “says that let his opponents lie as much as they want” because he would “get to paradise” as a result of their claims.

“Should we still assume you’re making ends meet by selling the mementos of your cricketing days? […] Ohh, Imran! “You have no idea what cases would be filed against you,” Bilawal threatened the premier.

Bilawal requested that the prime minister and the first lady pray that Zardari does not form another administration. “We will ask Shahbaz Sharif to designate an interior minister when the time comes.”

He then chastised Prime Minister Imran Khan for using “offensive language” against JUI-F and PDM chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

“Who are you to accuse him of using such language?”
