An amendment bill has been introduced in the National Assembly on Tuesday to impose ban on the dual nationality of judges and bureaucrats.

According to the reports, the bill was moved by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl group (JUI-F) parliamentarian Noor Alam Khan in the assembly.

Noor Alam Khan argued in the house that dual citizenship for judges of the Supreme Court and High Court, as well as for bureaucrats, should be terminated to maintain the integrity and impartiality of these key public service roles.
