Federal Minister for Law Azam Nazir Tarar clarified categorically on Monday that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa was not interested in seeking an extension, reported The Asian Mirror.
Talking to the media, he said that the CJP Faez Isa had told him as well as the attorney general of Pakistan (AGP) quite clearly that he had no plans to seek an extension.

“Therefore, it is not appropriate to keep repeating the same thing over and over again,” the minister said, adding, “It will be better if we stop discussing the subject.”
Qazi Faez Isa is a Pakistani jurist who is currently serving as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan since 17 September 2023.
He was appointed as a justice of the Supreme Court in 2014, having previously served as the chief justice of Balochistan High Court from 2009 to 2014.
