At least 35 Pakistani pilgrims have been killed in Iran bus accident.

According to sources, 35 people were died and 20 others suffered injuries after a bus carrying Pakistani pilgrims met with an accident in Yazd, Iran, Iranian media reported on Wednesday.

According to Iranian Red Crescent, the ill-fated bus overturned and caught fire near Taftan-Dehshir check point.

The bus, which had 53 passengers on board, met with the accident yesterday night.

According to reports, the bus was transporting the pilgrims from Pakistan when it erupted into flames in Iran under circumstances that are still under investigation.

After being informed police and rescue officials reached the scene and moved the bodies and the injured to the hospital.

An emergency has been imposed at hospitals across the city to treat the injured.

Meanwhile, Mualana Qamar Abbas Naqvi — a member of a peace committee — claimed that the number of those killed in the accident is 35, while 15 were injured.
