ISLAMABAD: PPP President Asif Ali Zardari, PDM Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif wrapped up consultations on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s no-confidence motion on Thursday.
Zardari and Fazl had a meeting at the latter’s residence in Islamabad, where they discussed the method and timing for presenting the motion.
Fazl stated on the occasion that the Opposition will file a no-motion and present the phase in a day or two.
The JUI-F leader claimed that the majority is on their side and that allies will likely join forces with the Opposition in support of the no-confidence resolution.
The two politicians chatted on the phone with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz to finalize measures to destabilize the PTI-led government.
Fazl and Zardari spoke with Shahbaz at the meeting to finalize plans against the PTI-led government, as the PML-N leader had been sick for the past two days.
Fazl also informed the press that a conference of constitutional and legal experts took place the night before.
“Everything has been finalized,” he added, adding that the Opposition will ensure that supporters arrive safely at Parliament.
“I would propose that no country should now consider Imran Khan as the representative of Pakistan,” he added, addressing the country’s institutions and the Islamic community.
“The no-confidence motion will contribute to the country’s economic stabilization,” the leader stated.
